Margaret Rose Dickens
Margaret Rose Dickens, 65, of Roanoke Rapids, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Margaret was a faithful and dedicated church member where she served the Lord many years singing and teaching Sunday school.
Margaret was born in Halifax County on April 26, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, Uriah Edgar Rose and Doris Walker Rose, and a very special aunt, Marie Rose Hardison.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 41 years, William Jackson Dickens, of the home; their daughter, April Rozier and husband, Ben, of Littleton; one grandson, Tyler Rozier; her sister, Linda Gilliam and husband, Melvin, of Roanoke Rapids; her sister-in-law, Rose Morales, of Hopewell, VA; her nieces, Carmen Martin, Rosa Morales, Mary Ann Yates, Carolyn Dickens, Barbara Byrum, Nancy Dickens, Betty Jean Rera, Sherry Ann Dickens, Diane Marie Dickens and Tanya Lucero; her nephews, Ricky Gilliam, Paul Dickens, Edward Earl Dickens, Joseph Edward Dickens, Jr. and Joey Long; her cousins, Libby White and husband, Reggie, and Sandy Rose; her wonderful and loving family at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Carrie, Ann, Stephanie and the rest of the nursing staff of the critical care unit of Wake Med in Raleigh for their caring, compassionate service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Wayne Marshall and Rev. Pete Rozier officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
